Nobel Symposium on Micoproteins at Umea, Sweeden

We are participating in the Nobel Symposium "Decoding Microproteins - From Basic Biology to Biotechnological Innovations" 14-16 September in Umea, Sweeden. The gathering will include talks from researchers working on different aspects of microprotein biology across organisms, from evolution to medical applications.

New phD position through the European doctoral network ORFEUS

The group will participate in a project funded by EU Marie-Sklodowska-Curie Actions that funds a network to PhD students to work in different European labs, with a focus on the dark proteome. The positions will open in october 2026, projects to start early 2027.

Joan Antoni Martorell presents his research at the XIII Jornada de Bioinformàtica i Genòmica

Joan Antoni Martorell presented research on the prevalence of stop loss mutations in cancer. The mutations were obtained from more than 20,000 patient tumor samples and several recurrently mutated genes were identified.
